Hello, for those of you who don’t know me my name is Logan Hurley.

My entire life revolves around music. My belief is that music can create love and peace between completely opposite people. I have narrowed my entire life into one main goal and that is to create a music scene that doesn’t revolve around physical and verbal abuse.

I have lived in the 772 for a while now. I went to my first show at ten years old and it was the best experience of my life. All the bands stood for something, something completely different from one another. Back then everyone understood what music meant and that just because someone is different than you doesn’t make them a bad person.

Probably the most awesome thing I saw at my first show was this straightedge punk band and in the middle of the set one of the guitarists broke some strings on his guitar, they stopped playing at that point and the vocalist was asking everybody if anybody had a guitar. Their biggest rival’s (which just happened to be this stoner jam band) guitarist came up on stage handed him the guitar and shook his hand. I forgot to add this was a battle of the bands so if they didn’t let them borrow that guitar it would be an automatic forfeit from the band. It was a great sight to see two completely different people with completely different beliefs work together to put on an awesome show(while still having some friendly competition.

I think every single one of us should think about that and just try to show a little more respect for one anothers beliefs and different genres….
